As you know SKYUI is a PC-friendly UI mod for Skyrim and it has more advanced features. SKYUI versions 5 has good crafting, alchemy, enchanting and smiting menus with other advantages. It has also a feature of a rich panel that enhances the full-text search, extends data columns and sorting. But sometimes it also happens that users face issues like SKYUIerror code 5. When the users are playing and try to open favorites, spells or inventory then they get an error message saying SKYUIO error 5 with incompatible items. Many users report that a fresh reinstall can fix this error.

Solutions to fix SKYUI error code 5:-

Whenever any file is overridden on SKYUI then you get this error. In case, you installed map or inventory mods like Pastel Map Markers, QD Inventory SSE, etc. so, generally check for warning in MCM. If you don’t install this type of mods then you should check the Data or Interface folder for searching any lost files. So, do one thing either delete those files or search out which mod has installed them. Go to settings and navigate to the mod manager section to disable the favorites menu.

Sometimes it also happens that, if master files have not set in SHYUI_SE then it gets disabled. It may be possible that there may be an error with the Bethesda’s in the manager of the game mode. When you are trying to load the game and go to the mods menu then SKYUI will get disabled. You can also use a third-party manager if you decide to use such complex mods like SKYUI and skse.

Also, check that * sign is to towards the left side of the ESP’s first character which you are activating. Ensure that, it should not on the right of “P” which is at the end of the previous .esp. If you arrow key between the two then you can see an invisible character.

If you are trying to disable anything in the MCM then it will only clog the error message. Simply go to the Skyrim director whenever you get an incompatible menu file error. Tap on the Data folder and navigate to Interface.  Now, search for the file name that has appeared in the error message like favoritemenu.swf. Cut this file from the Skyrim’s interface folder. Create an “interface backup” folder anywhere and paste the interface backup in that folder. You can also delete it if you want and fix SKYUI error code 5.
